About Us

My Story

Hi, I'm Jac Priestland, the friendly face behind The Cors Country House. My journey back to West Wales and into the hospitality industry is deeply rooted in the legacy of my father, Nick Priestland. Nick was a renowned chef and inspirational gardener who ran The Cors restaurant from 1992, captivating guests with his exquisite food, charming conversation, and stunning gardens. Over the years, The Cors became a beloved spot, drawing visitors from all walks of life, including notable figures like Welsh actor Michael Sheen and cartoonist Martin Rowson.

I grew up in The Cors, our family house, before moving to Cardiff in 2005. There, I spent over a decade managing data services for top clients like British Gas and Sainsbury’s. In April 2019, I returned to my hometown in West Wales to manage The Cors after Nick's passing in January 2018. My dream was always to return to my family home and keep the property within the family, transforming it into the elegant country home it is today. Since opening as a self-catering holiday let in June 2018, The Cors has continued to create lasting memories for all who visit. One day, I will return to live with my family in The Cors, ensuring its legacy continues.

My background in data services has equipped me with a meticulous and customer-focused approach to hosting. Managing The Cors, a beautiful property run by my father as a restaurant and B&B for nearly 30 years, I strive to offer the best possible experience through excellent service and local recommendations. Staying with us means you’re not just another guest; you’re part of our extended family. Expect a warm welcome, local tips, and a locally sourced welcome pack for your arrival. I’m always available to answer any questions to ensure you feel at home during your stay.
